1. What does the 10-Year Workmanship Warranty cover?
Our warranty guarantees that your solar PV system, battery storage system, and all installation work will be free from defects caused by our workmanship for 10 years from the installation date. If there’s an issue due to how we installed it, we’ll arrange to repair or replace the affected parts at no extra cost.
2. What isn’t covered by the warranty ?
The warranty does not cover defects from the manufacturer’s parts, normal wear and tear, damage from accidents, natural disasters, or animals, or if the system hasn’t been properly maintained according to our guidelines. Also, if anyone not authorised by OVO tampers with or repairs the system, the warranty will no longer apply.
3. How do I make a warranty claim?
If you notice a problem, contact your local OVO installation team within 30 days of discovering the issue. You’ll need to provide details and a description of the problem. Claims must be made within the 10-year warranty period to be valid.
4. Do I need to keep up regular maintenance to keep the warranty valid?
Yes. The warranty requires that you operate and maintain your solar system according to the instructions in your Handover Pack. Neglect or improper maintenance could void the warranty.
5. What if someone else works on my solar system during the warranty period?
If any third party tampers with, adjusts, or repairs your solar system without OVO’s approval, the workmanship warranty will no longer be valid.
