Heat Pump Plus lets you run your heat pump at 15p per kWh, saving you around £350 a year on heating compared to a standard variable tariff¹.
It's a free add-on you can get with any of our tariffs. Power your heat pump for less with OVO. Simple.
To qualify, you need a compatible heat pump (like Vaillant aroTHERM or Viessmann Vitocal models) and a smart meter that sends half-hourly readings.

Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS) Grant
The Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS) grant is available to homeowners in England and Wales to help cover the cost of switching to greener heating.
If you get your heat pump installed through OVO, your installer will handle the Boiler BUS application for you.
If you’re eligible, the grant voucher of up to £7,500, will be given to your installer when the heat pump’s up and running. The amount gets taken off your total installation costs.
Please note, the BUS grant isn’t guaranteed for every installation. To keep things clear and transparent, we provide quotes based on both scenarios, with and without the grant, so you know exactly what to expect.
Home Energy Scotland Grant and Loan Scheme
If you’re a homeowner in Scotland, you may be eligible for financial support through the Home Energy Scotland Grant and Loan Scheme, funded by the Scottish Government. This scheme helps cover the cost of installing low carbon, energy-efficient heating systems, including heat pumps.
The grant of up to £7,500 can reduce your upfront installation costs, while the loan option offers low-interest financing to spread payments over time.
